Haulvy ("we," "us," "our") operates the Haulvy platform at haulvy.com — a CDL driver review platform for trucking carriers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information you provide directly:
- Name — used to personalize your account.
- Email address — used for account verification, login, and security notifications.
- Phone number — optional, collected for future account verification features. Not shared with third parties.
- Password — stored as a salted hash. We never store your password in plain text.
- Review content — ratings, pros/cons, and employment details you submit about carriers.
Information collected automatically:
- IP address — logged automatically when you access the Service. Stored in session records to detect abuse and for security purposes. Retained for 30 days.
- Browser/device information — user agent string stored with your session for security (detecting unusual logins).
- Usage data — pages visited, search queries, and interactions within the platform. Used to improve the Service. Not sold to third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To send email verification and password reset emails.
- To display your reviews (anonymously — your name is never shown publicly).
- To detect and prevent fraudulent reviews and abuse.
- To improve the platform and user experience.
- To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
4. Review Anonymity
All driver reviews are displayed anonymously. Your name, email, and phone number are never shown on any public review. We display a partially masked version (e.g., "M****l T***t") for accountability purposes only.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Resend — email delivery service (receives your email address to send verification and password reset emails).
- Cloudflare — infrastructure provider (your requests pass through Cloudflare's network; subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy).
- Law enforcement or government authorities when required by law.
6. Data Retention
- Account data — retained as long as your account is active.
- Reviews — retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
- IP address / session data — retained for 30 days.
- Email logs — retained for 30 days by our email provider.
7. Your Rights
You may request at any time:
- Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — update inaccurate information.
- Deletion — delete your account and associated personal data. Reviews may be anonymized rather than deleted.

8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and Cloudflare's edge network for DDoS protection. No system is 100% secure — if you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
